Teeth brushing and mind management.
I'm concerned…..
Not necessarily about your teeth, BUT rather, about your MIND!
After scrubbing away yesterday's junk from your teeth this morning, did you do something to scrub away the junk from your mind too?
Yes, it's important to maintain the health of YOUR teeth & gums.
But it's just as important, if not MORE important, to maintain the health of your mind!
If I had to choose between the two:
Good teeth but bad mind
OR
Bad teeth but good mind
I'd go for the second option as I'd much prefer to lose my teeth than to lose my mind.
That is why I prioritise small and simple daily activities that not only help me maintain my mind, but that also improve it.
Now the reason why you brush your teeth consistently EVERYDAY but struggle to stay consistent with doing the things that maintain your mind health such as exercise, healthy eating and meditation, for example, is because you don't know how to make those activities as simple and straightforward as brushing your teeth.
Being human, if something is confusing, overcomplicated, time consuming, unenjoyable and if it doesn't bring immediete pleasure, we tend to stop doing it.
The key to consistency in this regard is figuring out how to make such activities simple, enjoyable and time efficient.
If you don't know how to do that you can always learn.
But trying to do so on your own will take time and there will be plenty of trials and errors.
